Dar Nejma’s swimming pool in front of the whitewashed house, with its domes, arches and palm trees

A haven of tranquillity in the heart of the island of Djerba

We want you to love your holiday!

A family home, open to travellers

Dar Nejma, ‘the house of the star’, is a large villa built in 1986 in the style of a houch, the traditional Djerban house organised around its courtyards.

Long a family holiday home, it has opened its doors to travellers without losing its soul. Here, you’re not just renting a hotel room: you’re welcomed like family, amidst the olive and fruit trees of the Midoun countryside.

Whitewashed walls, built-in furniture, vintage tiles and items sourced from the island’s artisans: each room tells the story of Djerba in its own way.

In the evening, guests head up to the roof terraces to watch the sun set over the olive trees.

Then the sky over Djerba lights up, and you realise why the guesthouse is called ‘L’Étoile’.
